Materials and design
The ultra-light riser on the Infinite Edge Pro is made from aluminium, while the grip is made from a hard, texturized, durable rubber and it’s designed to fit small or big hands. The rubber is perfect for colder weather and the amount of torque is reduced thanks to the rubber’s texture, which means you won’t lose your grip during release. You’ll also find bearings in the cam, with the strings drawn from the limb’s center. Because the bearings are sealed you won’t have to worry about lubricating them. The axle to axle length comes in at 30″ inches with a brace height of 7″. The bow is available for both left and right handed archers. The handmade Octane string is pretty standard. The cables are also made by Octane. You’ll also have three finish choices: pink blaze, mossy oak, or black ops.
Flexibility
The Diamond Archery Infinite Edge Pro compound bow is probably the most adjustable compound bow you can buy. It doesn’t matter if you buy it for a younger archer or an adult, it will work for archers of all experience levels and sizes. There is an “A” setting, a “B” setting, and a “C” setting available on the cam’s string posts to allow for maximum flexibility. The draw length can be adjusted from 31″ down to 13″, and the draw weight can be set from a maximum 70lbs to as low as 8lbs, based on the draw length adjustments. This bow is also ideal for situations in which more than one person will shoot it, making this bow a true multi-shooter.
Performance
Shooting the Diamond Infinite Edge Pro is an experience that far exceeds the expectations for a beginners bow. The draw features a solid back wall, and is smooth and comfortable, even when set at 70 pounds. At a speed higher than 310 FPS IBO, this is a reasonably fast bow compared to other compound bows in this price range. This model also fires without the slightest hint of hand shock. The solid limbs and parallel positioning ensure you won’t feel a thing.
Hunting Features
The Edge Pro shoots arrows with enough power to take down just any size game. The bow weighs in at just a little over 3lbs, which makes it easy to carry around. While some hunters prefer a heavier bow because they feel it’s more stable, others prefer lightweight models such as those which can help to increase accuracy and prevent fatigue during longer outings. The bow is fairly silent. The five-inch stabilizer works to reduce most of the vibrations so you won’t need to purchase any additional accessories to reduce noise.
Accessories
The tube peep sight and three pin tundra sight will make aiming a piece of cake. The sight light also makes plenty of sense if you’re planning to hunt at dusk. The Tundra sight fiber optics line is a little short so it might be a bit difficult to use in low light conditions. But if you’re just starting out, it should suffice. The bow sight will need to be properly sighted in before use. To do, just follow the arrows. This means, when you shoot, if the arrow is shot too low you’ll need to adjust the sight accordingly.
The peep sight doesn’t come installed because it needs to be adjusted to the individual shooter. If you have some shooting experience you can do this on your own. If you’re a beginner, you should go to a pro shop so they can help you set it up.
The five-inch ultra-lite Octane stabilizer is the perfect add-on that will get rid of any vibrations while you’re shooting. In fact, it works to make the entire draw cycle more accurate and stable. Aside from that, it offers more balance as well.
The extra-large Hostage arrow rest features a simple design. While not top of the line, it’s a good choice for beginners. You can always upgrade it down the line with a drop-away or brush style rest.
The Deadlock quiver features a five arrow capacity and is a practical, good add-on. It features a quick detach system, so it’s easy to use, even for beginners. Unfortunately, there are no arrows included in this package. The arrows you choose must be compatible with the bow’s poundage, the purpose, and the draw length. They must be cut to fit your style of shooting and draw length.
The BCY string and wrist sling are also welcome additions to this starter package. The loop is used as a release aid for the string. This type of mechanical release allows for a more precise, quicker release which also means less torque will be placed on your fingers and the string. Almost every archer uses this type of accessory.
The wrist sling works to secure the wrist so you don’t drop the bow after releasing a shot.
The included lifetime warranty is a huge selling point for this bow. The manufacturer does state that you cannot use arrows that weigh less than five grains per pound of drawing weight. Doing so can result in damage to the bow and will void the warranty.
