Design and materials
The AW Pro compound bow package features a sturdy and durable compound bow made from high quality materials despite its low price. The bow has a rugged aluminum alloy riser and comes with a reliable stainless steel cable guard.
The bow is set to a draw weight of 45 lbs and a draw range of 28″ when delivered. However, its draw weight which can be adjusted from 20 lbs to 70 lbs, and its draw length range from 17 inches to 29 inches; this makes it very customizable and will cover a wide range of shooters. You can raise or lower the values to fit your particular style or needs. You can do this very easily thanks to the already included Allen wrenches. The bow comes fully strung and assembled, and all you need to set up yourself is the arrow rest, the sight and quiver.
Speed and accuracy
Thanks to its reliable dual cam system, the AW Pro compound bow draws very smoothly. It’s a very accurate shooter, making it a great bow for those who are just starting out. With this bow, tight groupings from 15 yards to 30 yards are easily achievable even for the beginners, after a bit of practice. The bow is also considerably fast at 320FPS IBO.
With a net weight of 3.6 pounds, this product is light enough to be easily carried around for long periods of time while hunting. On the other hand, it’s heavy enough to make the entire shooting process much more stable, which ensures higher accuracy overall. That said, you should keep in mind that the bow will get heavier when you attach the accessories. Its axle to axle length is 30 inches, which makes it a very compact model.
This is ideal for hunting especially in small ground blinds or in tree stands. You can easily strap it to the back pack, leaving adequate room for a sleeping bag and such other gear which you might carry with you during your hunting trip. The bow comes with a stabilizer which takes vibrations out of the whole shooting process, therefore silencing it. In addition, its string dampeners and parallel limb design also help reduce the sound, and this is very good for hunting since sound travels much faster than the arrows, which might warn your prey.
For carrying the arrows around, you’ll get a high quality quiver which can hold 4 carbon arrows which are 30 inches long. There is also an arrow rest attached to the bow that holds your arrows securely in place, so you do not have to worry about dropping your arrow once you load the bow. The arrow rest also keeps friction to a bare minimum, meaning your arrow will leave the bow at high speed, and the arrow direction will not be influenced by the arrow rest. A wrist sling is included which is quite handy as you can easily attach the compound bow to your wrist and this lets you shoot with a more relaxed grip.
This is particularly important for keeping a good form when shooting. That said, you should remember to wax the string and the cables with the already included wax right before you go shooting for the first time; this will help prolong the lifespan of the cables and string. Depending on just how often you go shooting or hunting, you’ll need to replace the string and cables; you can do the replacement if you find areas of wear, otherwise the string and cables can last for up to one year. There are limb dampeners included, which help lessen the vibrations of the compound bow and also help stabilize the bow.
